POSITION SUMMARY:

If so, the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Accountability Section, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Government Analyst II to join our Strategy team. This position plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategic and performance improvement initiatives. You will have the unique opportunity to provide critical insights and contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department. Your work will directly influence the Department’s ability to meet its goals of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Managing Department strategic planning initiatives and assisting leadership in developing strategies to monitor performance;
  • Managing the Department strategic initiatives platform; Strategic Performance Efficiency and Accountability Reporting (SPEAR) system, including coordinating with program liaisons and Command Staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting;
  • Coordinating with liaisons and Command Staff to gather justifications for deficient or significantly excessive performance, and identifying issues worthy of leadership’s attention;
  • Coordinating production of the Department’s annual Long-Range Program Plan (LRPP), Quick Stats, and Annual Performance Report;
  • Facilitating workshops to include Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) exercises and other strategic planning meetings;
  • Facilitating the development of agency performance measures, standards and reporting procedures, as needed;
  • Developing reports and briefings on Department strategy and performance measures; and
  • Conducting in-depth analyses of strategy and performance issues.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of general office procedures and practices;
  • Knowledge of strategic planning principles;
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Performance Efficiency and Accountability Reporting System;
  • Ability to record, collect, evaluate, and analyze data;
  • Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness;
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
  • Ability to communicate effectively; and
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • BASE SALARY:  $53,917.24

 

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
