WORKING/ADVERTISING TITLE: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT I
This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at the Central Office in Tallahassee, FL, in the Office of Human Resources.
The mission of the Office of Human Resources in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to provide innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions that support the Department's operations and strategic goals.
This position is not a Telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
- Transition manual, paper-based processes to efficient digital solutions using a workflow automation platform.
- Analyze business processes, then design, build, and maintain digital forms and workflows using a workflow automation platform.
- Create automated workflows that route documents and notifications to appropriate personnel across the agency.
- Ensure forms and workflows comply with state and agency rules, statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Retrieve data, track the status of in-progress workflows, and generate reports within the platform.
- Provide technical support to users for forms and workflows within the platform.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet agency needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions within a workflow automation platform.
- Analytical skills to evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement.
- Preference for candidates with experience in workflow automation and form-building platforms.
- Experience administering Information Systems at the department level.
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights, with working knowledge of Power BI.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must possess at least four (4) years of experience in workflow automation, process improvement, or related technical roles.
