The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks, is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills, as well as land planning and administration skills, to join our dynamic team in the land administration section of the Office of Park Planning.

Pay:

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Coordinate the development, preparation and execution of State contracts, leases, subleases, releases, agreements, amendments, easements, MOUs, permits, licenses and other documents that relate to properties under the Division's management. Develop records and promulgate reports relating to encumbrances and individual parcels for land under the jurisdiction of the Division of recreation and Parks. 

 

Consult and act as liaison for the Division with other department planning personnel, other government agencies and private entities.  Represent the Division in the negotiation of terms for agreements and other legal documents.  Represent the Division and Department at meetings, workshops and conferences as required.

 

Investigate and analyze land administration issues for the Division, other governmental (federal, state, local) agencies and private entities and provide recommendations for the disposition of such issues.  Apply plans, policies, and objectives of the Division of Recreation and Parks for achieving agency goals in administering lands under the Division’s control.

 

Process and maintain land administration records associated with all management units within the state park system.  Maintain reports to accurately reflect all land use instruments/encumbrances currently in effect, status of pending land use transactions, and current acreage managed by DRP.  Research and respond to requests involving park property land use and management rights.  Research Department records and databases and provide acquisition and encumbrance histories for unit management plans.

 

Coordinates receipt of parks' non ad-valorem assessments and notices with OPS GOC, DSL and Title Section. Forwards invoices for user fees, via email, to park manager and district office for handling, responding within 5 days of receipt from OPS GOC or Supervisor. Drafts response letters to send to local municipalities, coordinating with OGC.

Performs other duties as assigned.
