Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional position in the Bureau of Family Health Services, School Health Services Program. This position is supervised by the Executive Community Health Nursing Director, School Health Services Program Administrator. This position will:

  • Be a lead for compliance and control of communications by checking School Health program office main email, tracking responses, controlling outlook distribution lists. Helps organize and track statewide conference calls for program office. In collaboration with team, incumbent will help to provide technical assistance on issues related to School Health. Assist in preparation and review of drafted documents. Distributes, assigns and develops responses to email and phone inquiries related to school health issues as assigned. Organizes and systematically standardizes this task.
  • Serve as a contract manager for assigned projects. Back up for additional contract managers. Monitors monthly deliverables and expenditures. Processes monthly invoices. Provides on-site monitoring to ensure quality services and compliance with contract deliverables/intent. Provides feedback and requested information regarding contract and contracted entity to leadership when required.
  • Be a defined assistant to Executive Community Health Nursing Director DON as a state liaison with a caseload of county-level School Health program. Will have additional counties assigned to assist with when directed.
  • Will provide support effort for data collection and quality improvement efforts regarding school health data capture, aggregation and visualization methods, processes, and programmatic end goals for data sets. Assists county health department staff in completing manual and electronic versions of the Annual School Health Services Plan and the Annual School Health Services Report, and other ad hoc reports and data sets as required.
  • Will assist with the development and review of policies, standards, manuals, reports necessary for the implementation and management of school health services and initiatives funded by the legislature. Assists leadership with analysis of school health reports and plans and participates in the development of grants and grant reviews. Participates in the development of legislative budget requests, bill analysis, and annual reports. Helps develop graphic displays, presentations and other visuals/program materials or as needed.
  • Will lead for inventory and purchasing supplies for program office.
  • Will participates in quality improvement desk audits and site visits including the analysis of epidemiological data review of school health procedures and records, and application of problem-solving techniques to enhance health services for school aged children as needed.
  • Will performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of basic management principles and practices and of the methods of data collection and analysis; ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data; solve problems; document work flow and other activities; organize data in logical format for presentation; conduct fact-finding research; utilize problem solving techniques; plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to work independently.

Qualifications:

Minimum – Be a current Florida Certified Contract Manager

Preferred – Experience working as a liaison. Customer services experience. Experience with excel. Experience with My Florida Marketplace. Be able to drive for long periods of time.
