Position Overview and Responsibilities:
This position performs under the general supervision of the Deputy Chief of the Department of Management Services, Division of Real Estate Development and Maintenance.
Provide statistical analyses of real estate projects though trend analysis, cost benefit analysis and other strategic functions.
Assist in the development of the 30-year plan study which includes outlook on age and health of buildings, including occupancy, repair/renovation needs and operational data.
Support business and process improvement initiatives to enhance the division’s capabilities to meet operational requirements and provide excellent business services.
Assist in building business case analysis to support recommendations for future plans, activities, and proposals in the best interest of the state.
Interpret complex systems, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Work with large volumes of data including running calculations, trends, analysis, and reporting.
Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
Manage competing resources and priorities to ensure timely completion of deliverables and projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
Experience in strategic planning or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to create clarity.
Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately, synthesize, and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities.
Experience interpreting and organizing raw data into a consumable format.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, facilitate teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and achieve results on projects with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks and deliver under tight deadlines.
Ability to generate reports, projections, spreadsheets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently between multiple priorities.
MS Office proficiency, including advanced skill in Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to model behaviors of Accountability, Communication, Empowerment, Flexibility, Integrity, Respect, and Teamwork.
Licensure/registration/certification requirements (If applicable, list the appropriate Florida Statute or federal regulation cite):
A valid driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of strategic planning experience or data collection/interpretation. Four additional years of experience can substitute for the required education.
Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience in financial analysis and cost/benefit analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
PowerBI or other analytics platform experience.
Smartsheet experience
