This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located in the Office of Administration in Contract Management and Monitoring in Tallahassee, Florida. This position may require 20 – 30% of travel as needed.
Our mission in the Bureau of Contract Management and Monitoring within the Florida Department of Corrections is to ensure that all contracts are managed and monitored effectively to achieve the best value for the state. This includes ensuring compliance with contract terms, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining high standards of service delivery to support the department's overall mission of public safety and rehabilitation.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
The working title for this position is Contract Quality Assurance Coordinator. Under general supervision, serves as a contract management and monitoring quality assurance coordinator and training consultant in the Bureau of Contract Management and Monitoring.
- Develop and update contract monitoring and management training using software programs like Microsoft Office and Articulate.
- Provide quarterly contract management and monitoring training, and create training materials such as booklets, tools, and presentations.
- Maintain and update the Contract Management Technical Manual, ensuring it aligns with departmental procedures, legislative changes, and best practices.
- Track and report contract manager training completion, and use computer skills to analyze data for agency reporting requirements.
- Review and ensure compliance with audit requests, monitor statewide contracts, and update the Bureau's Annual Monitoring Plan and Schedule.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in conducting monitorings.
- Experience in conducting trainings.
- Four (4) or more years of contract management or monitoring experience. Postsecondary education may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
