Education and/or Years of Experience:

  • 4 years of professional experience in revenue or grant analysis, accounting, auditing, or a similar field
  • 2 years of professional experience managing the performance of a program, project, or work unit subject to government regulation.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Professional experience as described above may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience.

 

About Us:

The Office of Revenue Management is under the Assistant Secretary for Administration located at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida. This Office is comprised of four units responsible for federal cost allocation and reporting, cash management, and revenue forecasting.

 

The Revenue Systems Unit provides operational support to the Office of Revenue Management and is highly diverse in its responsibilities, including maintaining the Grant and other Revenues Allocation Tracking System (GRANTS); administering the Random Moment Sampling (RMS) program; contract and purchasing support; and data stewardship in compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Federal Funding Accounting and Transparency Act (FFATA), the Florida Single Audit Act (Section 215.97, F.S.), and 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Grant Guidance).

 

What you will do:

This is a professional position performing highly responsible operational analysis functions. The selected candidate will be expected to function independently to perform complex tasks.

 

Examples of job duties include, but are not limited to:   

  • Monitors program performance and quality control in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assists in the programmatic review of business processes, financial data, systems access, and other organizational artifacts to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance is maintained.
  • Provides training and operational support for the Department's Random Moment Time Studies;

meets with RMS Regional Coordinators on a recurring basis to conduct training, monitor program health, and perform other RMS-related tasks.

  • Performs work assignments involving the research and analysis of fiscal information. Prepares reports using data from various sources, including department databases and applications.
  • Provides technical and consultative support to the Revenue Systems Manager, including monitoring visible initiatives, performing risk management and information access reviews, and managing alignment of customer needs and agency strategy.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection, analysis, and basic security;
  • Ability to document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of business processes;
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials;
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish effective relationships with stakeholders;
  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Excel and basic competency in other Microsoft Office applications.
