Your Specific Responsibilities:
The role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering customized, role-based training for users of the Florida Department of Health’s Health Management System (HMS), specifically tailored to support clinical workflows and practices. Additionally, this position serves as the Bureau’s Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, ensuring effective training delivery and system support for clinical staff across public health settings.
- Leads the design, development, and implementation of training programs for the Health Management System (HMS), with a focus on supporting CHD staff and workflows. Training materials may include e-learning modules, technical manuals, user guides, job aids, online help documentation, and other instructional formats tailored to clinical roles and responsibilities.
- Conducts end user training as needed via face-to-face or teleconference.
- Serves as the Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator.
- Provides team review of training materials to provide quality content to end product as needed.
- Conducts end user testing for the Health Management System as a part of the statewide release process.
- Contributes to the timely development of end user Release Notes working with subject matter experts and Information Technology staff in accordance with statewide releases.
- Provides technical assistance to County Health Department staff utilizing the Health Management System.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of monitoring processes and/or working with ticketing software; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; communicating effectively with others verbally and in writing; talking to others to effectively convey information; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; conduct fact-finding research; knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information; ability to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments; ability to work independently; ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail; proficiency with authoring tools (i.e. Articulate 360 Suite, Snagit Editor, Microsoft 365 SharePoint, or other software); knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles; administrative and clerical procedures and systems; process technically difficult materials with tables and figures; collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems and document work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of technical experience with video conferencing systems; audio/video support
- Two (2) years of professional experience in an Information Technology related role to include process documentation; troubleshooting; technical support.
- Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactorily complete a background investigation, fingerprinting, and participation in direct deposit are requirements for employment.
