Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position works independently and in teams with a primary focus on initiatives related to county health department (CHD) performance management. Responsibilities include the following: Leads the updating, maintenance and review of a system which displays identified performance metrics. Conducts analysis of assigned statewide metrics, which includes qualitative analysis of CHD variance reports within the system and ad hoc analysis to support the operational review process. Provides technical assistance, user support and training related to the system. Coordinates the activities of the County Health Systems Performance Management Council, including the evaluation of selected performance metrics.

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of statutes pertaining to health and human services in Florida.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement and improvement concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of evaluation concepts and tools

  • Knowledge of public health concepts and Florida Department of Health County Health Department functions and services
  • Knowledge of content management and various Microsoft Office platforms for information sharing

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: A successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years experience collecting and managing data as well as have intermediate to advanced Excel experience. 

 

Preferred: Qualifications that are preferred include 2 or more of the following: database management experience, project management experience, use and modification of performance metric systems and reporting processes, and development of online training materials.
