POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is in the Investigation and Forensic Services (IFS) Support bureau. This is independent administrative and consultative work involving the review of operational and management issues within the IFS Program Office. Incumbent will coordinate administrative activities, coordinate purchasing of a variety of items and/or services, serve as the IFS property custodian, and serve as the Accounts Payable/Receivable liaison for the bureau. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Serving as liaison between General Services and IFS Support for routine purchases, vehicle accidents, etc.;
  • Coordinating bulk statewide purchases for the IFS program, including procurement of investigative technical equipment, as well as facilitating purchase of IT related equipment;
  • Coordinate fitting, purchasing, and tracking of upcoming expiration of body armor for all FDLE sworn members;
  • Tracking and coordinating all purchases to ensure receipt of items and maintaining purchasing logs;
  • Resolving routine purchasing issues and informing all matters of attention to the Business Manager;
  • Conducting annual inventory of IFS property and receiving, tagging, transferring and entering property into Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR);
  • Using Works and MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) to track receivables and vendor payments;
  • Monitoring and reviewing monthly expenditures for IFS Program Office and providing recommendations to management on ways to improve timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of expenditure strategies; and
  • Assisting with schedules of pool vehicles and reserving conference rooms for FDLE members.

BACKGROUND:

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
