Your Specific Responsibilities:

The Department of Health, Immunization Section is seeking a qualified candidate to lead field operations for Florida’s Vaccines for Children program. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising dynamic teams and coordinating complex programs. The person fulfilling this role is a member of the Immunization Section Management Team and is responsible for providing leadership to all Immunization Field Staff operations and direct supervision of Field Staff supervisors and provides day-to-day oversight of Field Staff activities. This position is responsible for recruiting and staff, supervision and coordinating tasks involving health care provider compliance monitoring, and completion of state and federal surveys. This position monitors field staff performance, compliance documentation, evaluates progress and ensures that Department expectations and grant requirements are met. This position may require in-state travel to ensure staff performance and oversee compliance activities.

This position is located at the Department of Health Central Office in Tallahassee, FL and is not a telework position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of business process analysis. Ability to communicate with and lead staff effectively and efficiently. Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, and Access. Ability to analyze data and develop various reports and databases. Ability to grasp detailed business requirements and logically communicate these via business practice documentation. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Preferred-

A minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.
