Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a responsible position, performing various technical and administrative duties to support the Captive Wildlife Investigation Section.  Incumbent works independently to assist staff with a variety of administrative tasks/functions which are often complex in nature. Incumbent is responsible for supervision of support personnel within the section to include one (1) Operations Analyst 1 and one (1) Operations Analyst 2. Required to complete high-level tasks independently and will be assigned ongoing and complex projects.

 

Coordinates both internal and external correspondence; anticipates and coordinates the Captive Wildlife office purchasing and ordering and tracks requisitions for services.

 

Responsible for supervising support staff within area of assignment; including training and directing the activities for employees. Provides assistance with the day-to-day operations of the office.  Responds to telephone calls for administrative concerns and public response, disseminates information to the public and employees regarding permits and other laws and rules of the FWC.  Keeps current on procedures, laws, regulations, and rules.

 

Maintains electronic correspondence files and database to access permits and correspondence.  Extracts, collates and merges stored information as required.  Responsible for the input of data involving miscellaneous captive wildlife permits.  Assists in compiling reports, special projects and reconciliation of records for the Captive Wildlife Investigation Section as needed. Researches and compiles statistical information on special projects; coordinates project resolutions with Division offices.  Responsible for the overview and management of the captive wildlife licensing and permitting process to include but not limited to meeting all statutory timelines and ensuring accuracy.  Serves as the records custodian for the Section.

 

Completes trackers as directed. Assists with coordination of public records as directed.

 

Performs other duties as required.
