The mission of Facilities Management and Building Construction at the Florida Department of Corrections is to provide a safe, secure, and efficient environment for staff, inmates, and visitors. This is achieved through the effective management, maintenance, and construction of correctional facilities, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and support the department's overall mission of public safety and rehabilitation.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
The Analytics and Tracking Coordinator will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between data analysis and operational execution within the Facilities Maintenance and Bureau of Construction departments. This position demands a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical acumen, and project management skills.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to maintenance activities, construction projects, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
- System Implementation: Develop and implement tracking systems that provide real-time visibility into maintenance operations and construction projects.
- Reporting and Insights: Generate regular reports and actionable insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient resource allocation.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to teams on the use of analytics tools and tracking systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Eight (8) or more years of providing data analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, communications, writing or a related area can subsitutute year for year for up to 4 years.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in Excel performing advanced tasks to include, pivot tables, advanced formulas and macros.
- Three (3) or more years Creating and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI’s)
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in creating reports and charts that show real time information
- Expertise in other data analysis tools and software besides Excel.
