What you will do:
In this position you will be responsible for coordination of recruitment and selection activities for the Florida Abuse Hotline Recruitment Team.
 
 
How you will make an impact:
•    Responsible for recruitment and hiring needs for the Florida Abuse Hotline.
•    Assisting with posting advertisements for Hotline positions
•    Reviewing and screening resumes/applications in People First as assigned
•    Registering, attending, and participating in job fairs and hiring events as directed
•    Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations, and Department procedures and policies
•    Making recommendations to update/improve the hiring process
•    Assisting with and responding to all internal and external inquiries and/or requests during the hiring process 
•    Proctoring and/or scoring skills assessments (as assigned)
•    Assisting applicants with the completion of onboarding paperwork, collecting all necessary documents, submitting fingerprints and scheduling drug screenings
•    Completing employer reference checks, state file reviews, abuse checks and inspector general checks for all assigned candidates
•    Compiling and submitting candidate packages, appointment checklists, classification request forms and requests for personnel actions to the Human Resource Service Center as a part of the hiring process
•    Sending offer letters, available shifts, and any other applicable forms/information to selected candidates
•    Ensuring all separation packages are completed and submitted in the approved HR system
•    Compiling and submitting internal candidate packages, appointment checklists, classification request forms, requests for personnel actions, position description updates, telework agreements and leave management requests for current Hotline employees to the Human Resource Service Center
•    Completing other workforce tasks as assigned
 
Qualifications:
•    Knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection activities.
•    Experience determining candidate eligibility using an applicant tracking system is preferred.
•    Valid Driver’s License (Travel is required to attend off-site job fairs, interviews and meetings as needed).
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

•    Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication. Knowledge of interviewing principles and techniques. Knowledge of the methods of data collection. Knowledge of hiring practices and understanding of fair employment practices.

Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to professional interact with both internal and external customers in a tactful, courteous and effective manner. Ability to record, collect, evaluate and analyze data. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
