Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in the management of the unit. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining equipment, reviewing and updating procedures, and maintaining and updating production data. The incumbent is authorized to interpret policies and procedures regarding Florida law and to maintain records. The incumbent will also work with the other Section Supervisor to co-supervise the High-Speed Scanning and Review Unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to assign and track work assignments of supervised employees.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare reports, and review and update activity reports.
- Ability to operate scanning equipment and scanning software.
- Ability to coach, mentor, train, and motivate members.
- Ability to document employee performance, issues, and resolve conflict within the unit.
- Skill in auditing, reviewing, or analyzing data.
- Ability to create letters, memoranda, and other standard business correspondence using the correct grammar and punctuation.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate with customers effectively and efficiently in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate and interact with employees in a respectful and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience in records management
- Experience using scanning software and equipment
- Experience reviewing and updating information
Job Related Requirements
- This position requires heavy lifting. Applicants must be willing and able to move and lift boxes weighing approximately 30 pounds.
- This position is required to work the same schedule as their team to ensure supervisory coverage.
- This position may require you to work more than 40 hours per week. Applicants must work on the floor for at least half of their work schedule to provide feedback and guidance to members and ensure members are completing work efficiently, adhering to procedures, and trained.
