Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

 

We are seeking to hire a Human Resource Consultant who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. 

 

This is a professional position responsible for assisting with coordinating Agency activities related to Broadband Classification and Compensation System and Recruitment and Selection.  Acts as backup in the absence of the Human Resource Manager.  Assist agency managers, supervisors, personnel liaisons and employees with questions relating to the Broadband Classification and Compensation System and Recruitment and Selection.  Assist in developing policies and procedures for Broadband Classification and Compensation System and Recruitment and Selection.  Recommend needed changes.  Interpret DMS rules, guidelines, policies and procedures, and Agency personnel policies and procedures.

 

Conduct HR Supervisory Training for Agency hiring managers and personnel liaison training and conference calls in Broadband Classification and Compensation and Recruitment and Selection.  Develop training materials, when needed.

 

Advise and assist hiring managers and personnel liaisons with questions related to the recruitment, advertisements, Veterans' Preference, hiring and selection processes.  Acts as back up to Personnel Services Specialist in their absence reviewing and analyzing Request to Advertise (RTAs) and processing requisitions.

 

Assists agency managers, supervisors and personnel liaisons with the selection process: Answer questions relating to screening applicants, screening criteria, KSAs, interviewing questions, rating scale, veteran's preference, forms etc.  Assist with conducting selection packet audits. Assist Agency managers, supervisors and personnel liaisons regarding the selection process.

 

Review and approve Personnel Action Requests (PARs) with the hiring manager and personnel liaison in the absence of the Human Resource Manager.

 

Attends Community of Interest and other meetings, forums, task forces related to Classification and Compensation and Recruitment and Selection topics to gain knowledge and enhance the agency’s ability to operate in a more efficient and effective manner.  Also attends job fairs to recruit the best/highly qualified workforce.

 

Acts as lead worker for the Classification, Recruitment and Selection section by coordinating staff's daily activities.

 

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

SALARY RANGE:

$2,384.62 - $2,500.00 / Biweekly Based on Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Three (3) years experience working in state government human resource office in Classification and Compensation.

One (1) year experience working in state government human resource office in Recruitment and Selection.
