Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, this is a highly professional managerial position providing strategic direction, leadership, oversight, communication, and marketing strategies for the agency’s Human Resource (HR) records. This management role requires self-motivation, innovation, initiative and must be an effective facilitator, motivator, and collaborator. Duties are performed in accordance with Section 447.203, Florida Statutes.
Responsible for the supervision of staff including performance appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, and having the authority for hiring and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions.
This position works independently in making decisions and obtaining solutions to problems, issues, and other matters that fall within policies, procedures, rules, and laws relating to personnel and other administrative areas. This position encounters all levels of department staff and must establish and maintain professional working relationships. This position requires basic knowledge of a variety of computer software including accessing and updating People First. Work is performed under general guidelines and independent action is required in dealing directly with employees, supervisors, managers, and personnel liaisons.

This is a complex position that will perform a variety of activities requiring knowledge and skills in records management.
This position is responsible for training new employees in the section. This position is responsible for validating the work of other staff in the section.
Ensures that all documentation from FLHealthDesk-HR has been transferred appropriately to the official personnel / org management files in AxiomPro for each HR ticket completed.
Ensures any paper documentation received is scanned, transferred, and indexed to AxiomPro timely.
Completes all File Room tasks in Cherwell. This includes inputting required information into People First.
Ensures that employees qualifying for a public records exemption area accurately indicated in People First and ensures a People First ticket is submitted timely.
Serves as back up to the front desk. Answers and routes telephone calls, distributes mail, completes employment verifications, and professionally greets customers.
Ensures that all personnel records requests are completed, which includes locating the responsive records, invoicing as needed, redacting confidential information, and providing the documents to the requestor.
Provides support to bureau sections with special projects and deadlines.
Completes other duties as assigned.
