DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Entering job requisitions into People First system for vacancies, as assigned;
- Guiding hiring managers throughout the selection process;
- Ensuring all forms submitted by hiring managers are current, accurate and complete prior to forwarding for processing;
- Initiating background investigations for selected candidates;
- Reviewing required paperwork for accuracy and compliance with department policy and processing it in a timely manner;
- Tracking selection processes and updating tracking sheet daily;
- Attending recruitment opportunities on behalf of the agency; and
- Staying abreast of all current HR policies and procedures to provide accurate information to applicants and FDLE members.

BACKGROUND:
FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. The elements of a background include: financial credit check, criminal history of applicant and applicant’s immediate family or roommates, personal references, employment and education verifications (which includes official transcript(s)), drug screen and fingerprinting. This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.
NOTE:
Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
