Position Summary
This is a professional career service position within the Division of Operations and Programs, Bureau of Rapid Response and Supports that serves as the Agency’s subject matter expert for Individual and Family Supports, Transportation, and other related programs that support individuals with unique abilities.
The Work You Will Do
- Drafting statewide policies and guidelines to ensure standardized and effective delivery of initiatives in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Providing technical assistance and training to Region staff and other stakeholders regarding Individual and Family Supports, Transportation, and other programs that support individuals with unique abilities.
- Providing support in strategic and operational planning to identify and develop programs and pathways to support individuals with unique abilities. This includes conducting research, participating in meetings, collaborating with other agencies and organizations, and engaging with partners to further such initiatives.
- Assisting with the approval, development and revision of rules, policies and procedures related to Transportation services and rates.
- Tracking and maintaining data used to monitor and inform core operational processes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:
- Methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating staff.
- Structure and content of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Direct Deposit Program
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
Background Screening Requirement
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
