Job Description

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide technical support and analysis in the areas of information technology security.  This includes, but not limited to, the ability to analyze, configure, monitor, implement and support information security systems equipment, applications, and services of the organization.  This position works to ensure that the organization can maintain a secure information system infrastructure while minimizing business risk.  This position also provides information security support and analysis to entities within the Florida Judicial Branch.
 

Education and Training Guidelines:

Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.  


Bachelor’s degree in business management, information technology, management information systems, computer science, engineering or a closely related field and three years of related information technology security experience. 


Security certifications desired, but not required.

Special Comments: 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


Minimum of three years of experience involving information security administration, analysis and configuration of information systems within an enterprise environment. Experience should include security policy and procedure development, security awareness, network and application penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis. Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Information Technology or a closely related field. CISSP, CEH or other security certification(s) desired.
 

Knowledge of information security and compliance frameworks and policies which include, but not limited to, National Institute of Standards and Technologies, Center for Internet Security Controls, and Criminal Justice Information Services.


Knowledge of information security best practices and baseline configurations.


Knowledge or ability to configure and administer next generation firewalls.


Knowledge or ability to configure and administer anti-virus, malware, and advanced threat protection solutions.


Knowledge or ability to configure and administer intrusion detection systems.


Knowledge or ability to configure and administer identity and access management solutions.


Knowledge or ability to configure and administer public key infrastructures.


Ability to perform system monitoring and log reviews for anomalies, intrusions, and threats.


Ability to perform incident response.


Ability to perform audits and assessments of assets and resources.


Ability to perform digital forensics and penetration testing.


Ability to process information logically.


Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.


Ability to communicate technical information effectively.


Ability to develop and communicate information security education and awareness.


Ability to identify information security risks and provide risk-based analysis.
