This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located in Office of Information Technology at Central Office.

The mission of the Office of Information Technology is to deliver innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions that support the strategic objectives and operational needs of the organization.

JOB DUTIES:

• Protect Sensitive Data: Handle employee records with personal and medical information, ensuring privacy and data integrity through strict security controls.
• Enhance IT Security: Assist in coordinating IT infrastructure and security assessments, reviewing best practices, device configurations, and server audit reports to safeguard the Agency network.
• Mitigate Security Risks: Support the agency's information security risk management process and conduct risk analysis projects to identify and address IT security threats.
• Support Incident Response: Provide analytical support for the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and actively participate in IT monitoring and reporting activities.
• Develop Security Policies: Assist in the development and implementation of information security policies, procedures, and standards, and lead the information security awareness program to ensure comprehensive protection.

REQUIREMENTS:

Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.

• Four years of Cybersecurity Analyst experience.
• One year of experience writing or interpreting security related policies and procedures.
• One year of experience with incident response or vulnerability management.
• Possession of one or more of the following certifications or a related equivalent:
  • GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC), or
  • Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), or
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or
  • Similar IT certifications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Information Technology/Cybersecurity
• Law enforcement experience
• Familiarity with CJIS security policy
• Knowledge of 60GG-2
• Understanding of ISO 27000
• Experience with NIST 800-53

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
