This position functions under the supervision of the Program Specialist Supervisor II-DOE - SES. This employee performs highly responsible production work within an information and data management environment which supports the operation of the statewide high school equivalency (HSE) program and the contractual arrangements of the test vendor. This position performs a variety of supportive services which focus on improving customer-driven performance excellence and is responsible for assisting in records verification, and other information system services provided to official HSE testing centers, employers, institutions, and other testing program customers. This position requires a commitment to team building and human resource excellence.

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
- The employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.
- The employee must interact courteously with others.
- The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Answers and addresses concerns resulting from a high volume of telephone and e-mail inquiries per day: including but not limited to test center inquiries, employment verification inquiries, individual inquiries and school district inquiries.
- Performs data entry for HSE records researched and found in the archived records database.
- Updates HSE records - to include but not limited to the following activities: Social security number changes, merges, and adding conversion records for out-state testers, military testers and federal correctional testers.
- Processes all incoming correspondence and disseminates to appropriate personnel.
- Assists in keeping the testing center/sponsoring agency contacts database current.
- Processes apostille/notarization requests.
- Processes and maintains all supply and material orders for the unit.
- Prepares HSE database updates with the diploma/transcript vendor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of record keeping systems and office automation systems.
- Computer skills, including a variety of software programs: email client, browsers, word processing, spreadsheet and database
- Ability to sort data alphabetically, numerically and categorically.
- Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Uses correct spelling, punctuation and grammar usage.

LEAVE INFORMATION: (CS)
- Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month.
- Sick Leave -. Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month.
BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
