SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field is required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field OR an Associate’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and two (2) years of the required experience may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience.
Additional requirements:
- Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT management, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
- Proven experience in managing complex IT projects and leading diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
Preference:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field.
Background check and fingerprinting is required.
This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and databases.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management strategies.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ability to lead and inspire IT teams, fostering collaborations and professional growth.
- Ability to present complex IT strategies to executives and board members.
- Ability to effectively develop an IT Human Resources Strategy.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
- Skill in managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Skill in negotiating with vendors, managing service level agreements (SLAs), and evaluating third-party solutions.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in data, reports, and implementations.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Deputy Director of Information Services will assist in leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of the organization's information technology systems and services. Reporting to the Director of Information Services, this role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the organization’s IT infrastructure and services.
