SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years of professional work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with (2) years of the required experience may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience.
Additional requirements:
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in application development, IT management, or related roles.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise applications and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in application development methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in the English language.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.
$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 Annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of application development methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of information technology governance and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams in applications development and implementation projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position supervises employees to include communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees. Additionally, this position is required to plan and direct employees’ work and must recommend actions such as to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees.
The Application Director is responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and enterprise systems. This role ensures that the organization’s applications align with business needs, meet performance standards, and operate efficiently within the IT ecosystem. The Application Director leads a team of IT professionals, manages vendor relationships, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
