Requirements:
Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
Occasional travel required. Travel may vary based on scheduled activities (reviews, workshops, conferences, technical assistance, etc.).
Must be approved by FDLE/FBI to access Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) information and must be able to obtain CJIS level 4 certification.
Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
This position is not eligible for full-time or part-time telework/remote work.

Required Experience:
- Four (4) relevant years of experience in accounting, business administration, public administration, management information systems, information studies with an emphasis in information technology, or other business fields is required, and at least two years of professional experience conducting internal or external audits in accordance with professional auditing standards.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, public administration, management information systems, information studies with an emphasis in information technology, or other business fields can substitute for the required experience, and at least two years of professional experience conducting internal or external audits in accordance with professional auditing standards.
- Two years of work experience in information technology or a similar field can substitute for one year of the required audit experience.
- Possession of a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certificate or master’s degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or information technology-related field can substitute for one year of the required audit experience.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a CISA certificate and/or professional auditing and information technology experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Technology (IT) auditor is responsible for conducting audits and other management reviews, performance audits, and financial/compliance audits as required. Audits are to be conducted in accordance with the professional auditing standards specified in section 20.055, Florida Statutes (F.S.) Duties include, but not limited to:
- The review and evaluation of automated systems and internal controls, necessary testing, and other related procedures.
- Determines the extent of compliance with applicable law, established policies, plans, and procedures.
- Determines findings from audits, system reviews, and studies used to evaluate the performance accountability and integrity of programs and/or individuals.
- Prepare reports containing the results of the work performed, recommending improvements in information systems, and internal and other management controls.
- Communicate engagement results.
- Appraises the adequacy of corrective actions taken to improve deficiencies identified in engagements.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintain a professional demeanor, and strive for continual improvement.
- The individual in this position must be extremely trustworthy, as responsibilities allows access to confidential information.
- Completes required continuing professional education training and maintains documentation for verification. Prioritizes completion of work products for any continuing professional education hours earned over the required hours.
- Performs other related duties as required.
