The Work You Will Do:
IT Project Support Lead / Office of Information Technology / Application Services
The IT Project Support Lead is responsible for supporting team initiatives related to system implementations, ensuring alignment with architectural strategies and organizational goals. This role involves coordinating with management, developers, architects, and business analysts to provide technical analysis and documentation. The incumbent will document scalable and secure infrastructure environments for custom-developed, COTS, and SaaS applications and services, translating architectural strategies into actionable plans. Additionally, the position includes preparing specifications that describe application functionality, business process requirements, and testing procedures, as well as maintaining documentation of the Department’s application environment. The IT Project Support Lead also provides administrative and technical support to the Webmaster team, assists with team workflows and administrative support activities, and participates in the review and documentation of Office of Information Technology (OIT) policies, procedures, and standards.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Support team initiatives related to system implementations and ensure alignment with architectural strategies and organizational goals. Coordinate with management, developers, architects, and business analysts to provide technical analysis and documentation. Document scalable and secure infrastructure environments for custom-developed, COTS, and SaaS applications and services. Translate architectural strategies into actionable plans by preparing documentation such as process flows, timelines, and training materials. Prepare specifications that describe application functionality, business process requirements, and testing procedures. Maintain documentation of the Department’s application environment in accordance with applicable standards. Provide administrative and technical support to the Webmaster team, including tasks that ensure ADA compliance and alignment with department policies.
Assist with team workflows and administrative support activities, such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, updating trackers, and maintaining documentation to support communication and alignment across initiatives. Gather and organize business requirements to aid in the development of technical solutions. Support ticket triage and intake processes, ensuring timely assignment and tracking of requests. Participate in the review and documentation of Office of Information Technology (OIT) policies, procedures, and standards. Assist with reviewing project deliverables for alignment with department standards. Provide support to the Webmaster team through document handling, basic technical assistance, and ADA compliance tracking in accordance with department policies.
Test innovative solutions and perform analyses. Conduct assessments and update standards for infrastructure environments, specifically for COTS and SaaS applications and services. Collect and analyze business data sources. Create detailed reports using platforms like PowerBI to visualize data, track IT performance metrics, and analyze trends in system performance. Ensure compliance with IT standards through regular reporting and automate routine reports to improve efficiency and accuracy.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The individual demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage and track tasks, follow established workflows, and provide consistent administrative support across multiple team initiatives. The individual tracks the progress of initiatives, maintains status logs and spreadsheets, and supports follow-ups to ensure tasks remain on schedule. The position requires working knowledge of IT service request systems, including ticket triage, intake, and routing, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word to document and support day-to-day operations. The individual compiles and presents data through reports and dashboards using Power BI to support tracking of performance metrics. Clear and professional communication is required to document business needs, prepare internal reports, and coordinate among team members. The individual follows procedures accurately, pays close attention to detail, and consistently demonstrates initiative in completing assigned tasks. The position includes the use of ServiceNow and SharePoint for ticket tracking and content management. This role also involves applying web publishing standards and ADA accessibility requirements when supporting content workflows with the Webmaster team. The individual provides high-quality customer service and works effectively in a collaborative team environment.

This position may be entrusted with access to confidential or sensitive data, with specific authorization from the Manager of Application Services. This position is authorized to perform duties related to the production environment, which requires a high level of trusted security.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience performing technical work in an information technology field. Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
