Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for processing the Bureau of Dealer Services data analytics and serve as the bureau’s data analytics subject matter expert. This position will provide planning and support to the bureau’s data integrity analysis and analytical studies; lead and coordinate teams to support data initiatives and provide various statistical reports to leadership; maintain tracking measures; research and analyze systems to provide recommendations and implement process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to compile, analyze and disseminate data in complex reports.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of querying relational databases such as using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Ability to use statistical analysis software.
- Ability to work independently.
- Complex problem solving skills, ability to analyze situations and provide recommendations for change.
- Customer service skills.
- Time management and organizational skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to facilitate groups of people at various organizational levels for planning, problem solving, or strategy development.

- Knowledge of policies and operational procedures related to driver license, motor vehicle, crash and citation data.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Strong data analytical skills with the ability to gather and disseminate statistical data to develop complex reports.
- Experience using statistical analysis software.
- The ability to program in and consume data using SQL.

- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
