This is a full-time, in-office position only

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a highly responsible and professional position in the HIV/AIDS Section, Surveillance Program.  This position requires the ability to accurately manage and enter data into the HIV/AIDS morbidity registry and provide technical assistance to the end users of the system.  Applicants should possess excellent data management skills to meet specified deadlines.  Experience with confidential database systems preferred.

  • Manage secure folders of assigned areas and ensure that all exchanged documents follow the standard security protocol.
  • Process and enter patient information into the HIV/AIDS case registry to meet established deadlines. 
  • Validate data for errors and anomalies. 
  • Keep assigned sites apprised of any revisions to reporting standards and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to assigned Areas as requested.
  • Conduct routine out-of-state calls to resolve intrastate case duplications.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen eye for details and changes.
  • Assist in training newly hired Case Managers in data entry and data validation.
  • Perform other duties and assistance as may be required.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to compare data from various sources for accuracy.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office products, and Adobe Acrobat.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum – 

  • Experience working with confidential database systems.   
  • Experience providing technical assistance.
  • Experience with electronic document storage systems.
  • Experience reviewing and editing the work of others.
  • Experience providing training to others.

 

Preferred –

  • AA Degree or higher
  • Three years or more of experience
  • At least two years of data entry experience.
