JOB SUMMARY:
This Government Analyst II role serves as a team lead within the Procedures Team in the Operational Procedures and Training (OPT) unit. The position requires advanced-level work performed with minimal supervision and provides essential leadership in developing, revising, and publishing materials across the Child Support Program.
This opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong writing, editing, analytical, and time management skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the Program’s administrative rulemaking, forms development, procedural documentation, training, and quality assurance efforts. Primary responsibilities include:
- Coordinating all aspects of the Child Support Program’s administrative rulemaking process, including development and maintenance of rule forms.
- Creating, revising, and maintaining accurate Program procedures, work instructions, instructional guides, and forms.
- Team lead, performing quality assurance reviews, offering actionable feedback, coaching and supporting teammates through hands-on training and guidance.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Assigning work and managing inventory.
- Providing technical assistance and helping implement operational and strategic initiatives.
- Assisting in maintaining reports, gathering and analyzing data to identify gaps and trends, and recommending strategies to improve performance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with the Florida Administrative Rulemaking process.
- Proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading.
- At least two years of experience providing training, guidance, or instruction to employees, with a focus on enhancing performance, delivering constructive, results-oriented feedback.
- Experience assigning work, managing inventory and maintaining reports.
PREFERENCES:
- Operational experience in the Child Support Program.
- Experience drafting and submitting administrative rules and notices.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- This position is physically located in Tallahassee and is currently not telework eligible.
- The applicant selection criteria (ASC) screening tool has been administratively approved. Those applicants who have met the minimum qualifications and with the greatest points accumulated via the ASC scoring will be selected for interview.
- Following the interview, candidates will complete a work sample to demonstrate their proficiency. Total interview time, including the work sample, is approximately two hours. Transcripts should be brought to the interview, if applicable.
SALARY: $53,917.08 - $72,570.36.
