Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Position Summary: This position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in Tallahassee, Florida.
Pay: $60,000 - $68,000 Annually
Qalifications:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
- A master's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of the required experience.
- Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
The Work You Will Do: This position is in the Office of the Attorney General within the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) Headquarters in Tallahassee and is a direct report to the Administrative Manager. This position performs the finance, accounting, budget and grant oversight functions to ensure effective operation and compliance with all applicable (state and federal) rules, regulations and performance standards relating to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU.). The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervises the MFCU Government Analyst II position and the Senior Clerk position. This MFCU staff member spends the majority of his or her time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work, and who has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action, including all employees serving as supervisors, administrators, and directors. Assist in hiring process of vacant Government Analyst II and Senior Clerk position and other support staff positions. Develop and provide training for assigned employees.
- Performs statistical analysis and generates MFCU management reports and other data results pertaining to MFCU performance measures, which are used in the preparation of reports to the Florida Governor and Florida Legislature and reports to HHS-OIG.
- Assists with finance, accounting, and budget functions to ensure effective operation and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations relating to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. These functions include processing/approving invoices; process restitution checks to include posting to Notes and completing OnBase Check Review, monthly reconciliation of expenditures and revenue, updating grant budget projections, assist in preparation of the annual grant application; serve as backup purchasing card approver. Serve as the point of contact for NAMFCU training registrations and payments.
- Performs related duties as required by the Director, Deputy Directors, or OAG Division of Administration.
