Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for directing, managing and evaluating the day-to-day operational activities of Bureau of Issuance Oversight’s motor vehicle (title and registration) issuance, direct issuance, motor vehicle stops, motor vehicle refunds, personalized license plate review and the issuance of specialty license plates (voluntary contribution oversight), fleet issuance oversight, transporter plates and motor vehicle modernization coordination. This oversight will include:
- Developing and implementing operational plans, policies and procedures.
- Managing the implementation of legislative mandates and new or pending motor vehicle initiatives.
- Performing liaison duties and responding to inquiries from the Executive Office of the Governor, the Legislature, the Courts, or members of the public regarding operations of the bureau.
- Coordinating and monitoring motor vehicle modernization efforts to include the development and implementation of applications and automated management information systems.
- Managing, monitoring and evaluating program area quality and productivity, as well as, the activities of subordinates and subordinate supervisors.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and the proper and efficient collection of revenue.

General Information

The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview. - FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
