Anticipated Vacancy
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be an enrollment specialist and handle shipping issues for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. The VFC Program distributes over $200 million of vaccines to over 1,600 public and private healthcare providers in the state of Florida. The Operations Analyst II in this position interacts with many of these healthcare providers by telephone and correspondence daily. The incumbent will be required to have a broad knowledge of vaccine administration, availability, appropriate use and departmental distribution policies in order to be able to research and answer provider questions and concerns.
The incumbent investigates, assesses, analyzes and makes recommendations to resolve operational issues and problems related to the processing of vaccine replacement at over 1,600 VFC provider offices in Florida. This includes processing orders, updating provider profiles, and other programmatic, administrative, and operational issues. The incumbent must balance judgement and departmental policies in assessing provider vaccine inventory levels, thereby ensuring that providers have enough vaccine on hand at various times of the year while preventing wastage through overstocking. The incumbent acts as the principle point of contact with McKesson Specialty and Merck Pharmaceuticals.
The incumbent develops and implements the statewide policies and procedures for the enrollment, re-enrollment, and disenrollment of VFC healthcare providers in Florida. This includes scheduling enrollment orientation site review visits with the Bureau's 12 regional field staff.
The incumbent provides vaccine replacement orders from the over 1,600 VFC healthcare providers.
Monthly vaccine spreadsheets from Mckesson Specialty regarding the creation, cancellation, and correction to vaccine returns must be reviewed, processed, and sent back to McKesson Specialty.
Provides back-up support to the Florida SHOTS Call Center Customer Service Agents by taking calls coming into the call center.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.
Preferred:
- One year of data entry experience
- One year working within the medical field

This is a fully on-site position based in Tallahassee. Employees are required to work from our Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
