Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position will be operating within the dispensing pharmacy area of Central Pharmacy. The primary duties involve a variety of duties related to inventory management of Family Planning and Department of Corrections programs, as well as the QS1 and HOMER pharmaceutical dispensing system for prescription inputting. The incumbent in this position will assist the registered pharmacists in the performance of their legal responsibilities and authority as outlines in the Florida Pharmacy Law, (Chapter 465, and Florida Statutes). The incumbent in this position completes work assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Incumbent may be required to work during or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Responsible for the review of all internal policies; assisting in writing and updating of all policies and procedures regarding central pharmacy. Coordinating policy reviews and interoffice memorandums to ensure that all reviews are appropriate and are within the designated review timelines. Consulting with federal, state, and local officials regarding policy procedural changes and timelines and further evaluating and recommending changes based on needs and analysis of federal and state guidelines. The incumbent shall obtain and maintain yearly certification of Good Manufacturing Practices training.
Conducts reviews of Epilepsy program services to include forms and reports and advises management on identified problems and provides recommendations for improvements in the program. Assist in monitoring drug usage; gather prescription data for reporting purposes; compile and analyze reports. Manages and inputs all received hardcopy prescriptions and eligibility forms, as well as routing all phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
Responsible for updating & maintaining current EP contact personnel & telephone numbers; maintains filing systems & performs daily computer backup of pharmacy system as needed/required. Responsible for ensuring EP program filing system are properly maintained & responsible for ensuring proper removal & storage; active participation with Central Pharmacy's Continuous Quality Improvement Committee; maintains log books & generates specialized reports for review; participates in Central Pharmacy's monthly inventory.

Monitors, prepares and maintains purchase orders of supplies and equipment used in monitoring program area. Performs other related duties as required included, but not limited to inventory management, online ordering of pharmaceuticals through Cardinal Health, and inventory updates in the QS1 and HOMER pharmacy system.
Develops and implements a records management system for EP program and assures compliance with program guidelines. Gathers and organizes EP client dispensing information for reporting analysis and providing the appropriate documentation regarding findings of study for the QS1 and HOMER system and further providing recommendations for implementation of new process or enhancements for the systems.

Have a Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacy Intern License Certification
