General Summary

This position is responsible for assisting division or comparable level the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) management in the coordination of administrative tasks and assignments. The assignments are typically complex in nature and very broad in objective. The work is typically autonomous and will involve independent formulation, analysis, and recommendations for policies, rules, and regulations.


Examples of Work Performed

  • Handle complex projects and special assignments and performs research and report preparation.
  • Supervises report formatting and distribution processes.
  • Prepares graphic documents for reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Supervises and conducts office receptionist activities, including greeting, announcing, and routing visitors and answering and routing incoming calls.
  • Assists in formulating and recommending programs, rules, regulations, and policies of the organization, and interprets, and administers policies as directed.
  • Processes a variety of correspondence, investigates subject matter, and prepares replies.
  • Maintains files of office correspondence, research materials, and related information.
  • Defines and investigate problems, and formulates methods of resolution.
  • Assists supervisor in conducting daily administrative activities, and acts in matters where the authority has been delegated.
  • Supervises, reviews, and coordinates the work of clerical and/or administrative personnel to ensure accurate and smooth workflow of the unit.
  • Assists with human resources processes and the handling of personnel documents.
  • Performs other related duties as required, including assisting staff with travel arrangements and the purchasing of office supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years administrative



A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of required



Administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.



Commensurate with experience.
