Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of experience in accounting or financial management, two (2) of which must have been experience with processing revenues, billing or financial reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university, and one  (1) year of professional experience in financial account management, auditing, or account reconciliation can substitute for the required experience.

 

 

Requirements:

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

 

PREPARE INVOICES FOR PAYMENT:

Prepare and mail billing invoices for Revenue Agreements and Contracts.

 

MONITORING:

Monitor billing cycles for Revenue Agreements and Contracts.  Enter Revenue Agreements and Contracts into tracking system. Maintain current copies of all Revenue Agreements and Contract along with Amendments.

 

MAIL PROCESSING:

Receive, open, prepare and scan all incoming mail.  Complete data entry in Laserfiche.

 

RETURN TO SENDER PROCESSING:

Prepare and return payments that are unable to process or deposit.  Enter and maintain the Return to Sender tracking log.

 

REFUNDS:

Prepare and processes refunds to external customers. 

 

SCANNING:

Prepare and scan completed deposits into Laserfiche document management system.

The incumbent will be required to complete training and attain proficiency in the Florida PALM accounting system to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Pro
  • Possess good customer service, telephone and clerical skills
  • Knowledge of Chapter 215.422, F.S. – The Prompt Payment Law
  • Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
  • Ability to analyze, research, report and interpret accounting data.
  • Ability to understand and apply the appropriate rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to an accounting program.
  • Ability to work independently, and to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to handle detailed work activities and assignments within a complex automated accounting system.
