This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS position located at Central Office in Tallahassee in the Office of the Inspector General
Our mission in the Office of the Inspector General at the Florida Department of Corrections is to protect and to promote public integrity and accountability within the Department through investigations, audits, and inspections. We aim to detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct, ensuring that the Department operates efficiently and effectively while upholding.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
- Provide assistance to supervisors/managers with reviewing and processing forensic laboratory reports and assigned incident reports.
- Provide assistance to supervisors/managers with various database system access for sworn/civilian staff.
- Performing data entry and record-keeping tasks in multiple databases.
- Review, print, and triage completed forensic laboratory reports for further assignment.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and investigative information.
- Answering phones, screening calls, and directing inquiries.
- Assist with various analytic functions including review of recorded phone calls, emails, and message review as requested
- Performs related work, as required

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience working in an administrative or office support role.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
