Position Overview and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and answer the ORCP main phone lines
  • Collect and distribute office mail
  • Review and respond to general email inquiries
  • Maintain the office supply closet and ensure it contains the requisite items most often utilized
  • Provide preliminary review and evaluation of grant applications for the Hurricane Restoration Reimbursement Grant Program
  • Proofreads, correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation as necessary. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Essential):

  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports from database.
  • Ability to use computers and related hardware.
  • Ability to understand and follow policy direction and rules applicable to public records requests.
  • Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Preferred):

  • Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to lift/handle boxes weighing 10 lbs. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver license

Pay:

$15.00/hr.
