This position is located in Tallahassee, FL.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The OPS CAD Space Planner provides professional services for the Division of Real Estate Development and Management and requires an individual who can work efficiently, both on a team and independently. Can reliably represent DMS in a professional manner while working with clients or in meetings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Verify, document, and analyze square footage using existing CAD drawings as well as via physical measurement of constructed spaces and sites.
- Organize, maintain, and update CAD files of buildings as renovations occur.
- Follow space standards to produce CAD files to be used by Agencies, Vendors and Contractors.
- Work alongside the leasing team to plan, track, and monitor lease actions while adhering to DMS standard.
- Work with agencies, architects, engineers, contractors, and DMS staff to assess needs and develop and execute migration and phasing plans for relocation and sequencing based on the physical space requirements.
- Help plan, organize, and execute projects as assigned by supervisors and leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Have experience in field measuring and calculating square footage for leasing and space planning purposes.
- Possess good working knowledge of construction methods and CAD drawings within as related to commercial buildings and sites.
- Ability to follow current DMS CAD standards and apply the standards to all projects.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with a team when required.
- Skilled in creative problem solving, analyzing information, and providing excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience using AutoCAD.
- Valid and Applicable Driver’s License.
