The Veterinary Epidemiologist position is primarily responsible for developing case definitions and conducting veterinary surveillance for animal illnesses and mortality events related to harmful algal blooms (HAB), as well as creating and updating HAB illness prevention educational tools for animal owners. This position will also be responsible for conducting surveillance for human fungal illnesses.

 

Requirements include a veterinary degree, current licensure in Florida preferred.

 

MPH or other specialized epidemiologic training also preferred.
