Salary:  $15 per hour, up to 20 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:  A high school diploma or its equivalent.  Experience in maintaining inventory, entering data, and displaying excellent organizational skills.

 

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history record check.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position coordinates mailouts for the FWC’s marine fisheries outreach and education initiatives, including the Catch a Florida Memory program. The position is responsible for overseeing organization, inventory, data entry and reporting, and mailouts of all program brochures, publications and promotional items.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates mailouts for the FWC’s Division of Marine Fisheries Management – Outreach and Education subsection.
  • Organizes and maintains inventory of all items mailed out for programming.
  • Assists with Catch a Florida Memory by printing prize recognitions and mailing prize packs.
  • Mails out brochures, publications and promotional items for various programs.
  • Completes data entry and reporting requirements for all mailouts.
  • Assists with additional outreach and education projects as requested.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software (Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel).
  • Experience in maintaining inventory.
  • Experience in data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Skills in effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and complete work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to lift equipment and supplies weighing 40 pounds or more to accomplish the duties of this position.
