Requirements:

Work at the FWC is cross-functional, meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The Commission expects employees to function across FWC's organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.

Telework: Due to the nature of the position’s duties, this position will not be eligible for telework.

Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary: 

This position is part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Revenue and Grants Section within the Finance and Budget Office (FBO) located in Tallahassee, Florida. This position is responsible for providing clerical support to the Revenue and Grants staff. Interested candidates should possess strong attention to detail and excel in providing great customer service. As a member of the FWC’s Revenue Section, this position supports all programs and is an integral part of the grant process for the agency.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Answers to qualifying questions must be verifiable within the work and/or educational history.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing clerical support within the Grants and Revenue section that supports the maintenance of agency records as required by Florida statutes and rules. Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures

 

Scanning:

  • Perform document scanning and upload financial records to Laserfiche.
  • Examine scanned documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy.

 

Filing:

  • Maintain both physical and electronic files.

 

 

Data Entry:

  • Generate transmittals for incoming checks received.
  • Provide support to the Grants staff by entering grant information in the FACTS system.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a detailed oriented environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
