Your Specific Responsibilities:
Assists with the Division of Economic Development’s Communications Coordinators and is responsible for assistance with writing, editing, and distributing the Division’s press releases, statements, correspondences, etc., and meeting the appropriate deadlines with division staff and the Office of Communications.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and under minimum supervision.
- Possess the technical knowledge, as well as the verbal and writing skills needed to effectively communicate with Division staff and clients in a timely manner.
- Ability to conduct effective research and prepare information for dissemination.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and to effectively handle multiple tasks.
- Must have good communication and excellent writing and proofreading skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
- Knowledge of State of Florida administrative and public records procedures
Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum: The selected candidate may require travel up to 25% percent.
Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or Marketing, or 1-2 years of experience in writing, marketing, journaling, or communications
Pay: $18-$22/hr
