OPS Construction Projects Specialist/ Full Time
Division of Real Estate Development and Management

This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
- This position performs special projects under the general supervision of Building Construction Department within the Division of Real Estate Development and Management.
- Tracks, schedules, and coordinates moving and repair projects by Vendors for DMS.
- Rent moving trucks, procure tools, paint, and other project items needed.
- Delivers paint, tools, etc. to other project work sites, as needed, completes p-card charge activities.
- Coordinates organization of DMS property in DMS Warehouse and Dept of State Records Storage Warehouse.
- Facilitates signage repairs/modifications for Capitol and all Pool Facilities (including door tags and cubicle tags), installing signage and tags as needed.
- Assist with receipt of orders of ADA items and return of flooring samples.
- Maintain inventory logs for furniture, complete inventory forms for property taken in or disbursed.
- Assist with building file moving, maintenance and destruction.
- Deliver files to Carlton building for shredding.
- Assist with DMS special tenant projects, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately, synthesize, and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently between multiple priorities.
- Ability to adhere to safety awareness policies in the workplace, views safety videos when presented and attends required safety meetings. Practices lessons learned on a daily basis to avoid accidents.
- Experience with handheld tools.
- Ability to model behaviors of Accountability, Communication, Empowerment, Flexibility, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word & Outlook).
- Must be physically able to: prolonged periods of sedentary work which involves repetitive motion, standing or walking and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Experience with handheld tools.
- A valid driver’s license.
