POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Operations and Management Consultant Manager, this position is responsible conducting research on multiple databases to ensure all desired or required information is received in its entirety and is accurate. This position must meet and maintain National Crime Information Center/Florida Crime Information Center certification as required and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Conducting in-depth research for accurate and complete criminal justice information by utilizing internal and external data bases or making contact with other criminal justice agencies to ensure all information received is complete and accurate;
- Analyzing reports for discrepancies and identifying potential problems in criminal history records;
- Querying multiple databases to obtain criminal charge information to determine if further action is necessary;
- Contacting criminal justice agencies for source documentation to support additions, deletions, and modifications;
- Making modifications to electronic systems as necessary;
- Resolving difficult, unusual, or questionable issues in the review and processing of criminal justice information;
- Maintaining regular contact with local, state, and federal criminal justice, other criminal justice agencies outside the state of Florida, non-criminal justice agencies for the purpose of gathering required documentation to gain clarification as needed for record modifications; and
- Scanning, entering demographic and charging historical data into the Biometric Identification Solution and Computerized Criminal History systems.

- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data;
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;
- Ability to operate computers and other office equipment;
- Ability to monitor criminal justice information activities;
- Ability to work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments;
- Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data; and
- Ability to deal with the public in a tactful, courteous, and effective manner.

BASE SALARY:
- $19.81 per hour

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week), including:

BACKGROUND:
FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.

Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
