General Summary

The Office of the Clerk is accepting applications for an OPS Calendar Assistant.  This is full-time temporary employment during the legislative session (February 24, 2025 through May 2, 2025).

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

The Calendar Assistant is responsible for filing documents, data entry, maintaining member and committee/subcommittee files, and helping with publications and various projects.  The Calendar Assistant must also be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, sometimes requiring staff to be available to work more than 40 hours a week (and after normal business hours) without prior notice.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Research skills.
  • Ability to perform general office duties 
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Ability to visually review computer documents and other printed material, making corrections either in writing or electronically.

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma and 2 years of secretarial and/or clerical experience. College education can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of required work experience.

 

Rate of Pay 

$15.00/hour
