Job Title
OPS – Committee on Appropriations
General Summary:
The Committee on Appropriations is recruiting multiple individuals to provide administrative support to committee staff. These clerical positions serve in a temporary, time-limited capacity. OPS employees will work 32 to 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with some occasional evening hours.
Individuals may anticipate employment between October 2025 – March 2026.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Provides administrative assistance.
- Answers phones and routes incoming calls.
- Greets visitors.
- Loads copiers and makes copies.
- Files documents.
- Inputs data and runs reports.
- Prepares meeting notebooks.
- Operates recording software during committee meetings.
- Delivers documents within the Capitol complex.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
- Ability to follow office procedures and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or its equivalent or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary:
Hourly rate of pay is $15.00
