POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is located in the Customer Service Administration Bureau, Distributed Systems Administration (DSA) section. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, that reports directly to the DSA Data Processing Manager. This position requires the ability to upgrade and install hardware and software and resolve user problems with computer software and hardware.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Designing, implementing, maintaining, and centrally managing enterprise desktop solutions in a local and wide area network environment;
- Installing and configuring of the department’s desktop and laptop systems, agency laptop encryption, mobile phone management, desktop antivirus management, desktop /laptop imaging, and asset management; and
- Participating in assigned training classes and perform research to improve job knowledge and performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of telecommunications principles, equipment, procedures, and terminology;
- Knowledge of data processing equipment;
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques;
- Knowledge of desktop ticketing solutions and enterprise desktop deployment solutions;
- Knowledge of information security best practices;
- Knowledge of computers and software, to include Windows 10 and 11;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Ability to process information logically and solve problems;
- Ability to develop training programs related to distributed processing;
- Ability to monitor and resolve problems with distributed systems components;
- Ability to identify and define user task needs; and
- Ability to communicate effectively, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week), including:
