WHAT IS OPS EMPLOYMENT?

Other Personal Services (OPS) employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used solely for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. 

OPS are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment and terminations at the recommendation of the employer.

Biweekly Rate of Pay:  $20.00 Hourly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)

 

DESCRIPTION:

This position is an OPS DJJ Operations Specialist position. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The estimates of the percentage of time necessary for the duties and responsibilities listed below are very fluid. The processing of medical reimbursements is the highest priority. Other duties and responsibilities are secondary to the need for the incumbent to process these invoices in a timely manner and prevent any backlog.
The primary responsibility of this position is the analyzing, reviewing, auditing, and processing of medical reimbursements made for the medical services received by youth in contracted residential programs.
Assist with the completion of purchasing and property activities for Residential Services Office.  Duties include a variety of related tasks including ordering supplies and equipment; accurately processes purchase requisitions, invoices; completing an annual property inventory and processing property transfer or surplus requests; ensures the prompt payment of all expenses, etc. Use of the Ariba on Demand (AOD), Financial Information System (FIS), and Axiom Pro will be required. Processes various bills for Residential HQ related to vacant buildings, and AOD related invoices.
Serves as the back-up to the Administrative Assistant III for ORS when out of the office.
Prepares monthly vehicle logs for submission to General Services.  Maintains state vehicle (car wash, preventive maintenance, fueling, etc.).
Prepares and maintains annual State Energy Management Plan (SEMP) reports for all vacant buildings as required per the Department of Management Services.
Performs other related assigned duties.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must have at minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates with:

- Microsoft Office Suite experience.

- DJJ experience.

A valid driver's license is required.
