Position: OPS Government Operations Consultant I

Salary: $25.00 hour - Up to 40 hours a week

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of contract/grant review/routing experience as reflected on the State application.
  • Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) is preferred but not required.
  • Answers to qualifying questions must be verifiable based on work experience listed on resume and state of Florida application.

  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

 

Contracts:

  • Provides technical assistance, support and consultation to contract managers and other contracting staff in the development and administration of contractual and procurement documents
  • Ensure timely execution of contract documents through detailed tracking and monitoring of deadlines and actions,
  • Reviews agency contracts and grant agreements.
  • Enters and updates data into the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System (FACTS)

 

Purchasing:

  • Procurement – Responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate processing and / or approval of purchase requisitions in the State's automated procurement system MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP). Reviews for accuracy, compliance with Laws, Rules, and Commission policy. Complies with Chapter 287, Florida Statutes and 60A, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
  • Solicitation – Responsible for issuing Invitation to Bid, Requests for Proposals, Invitations to Negotiate and other solicitations, as appropriate.  Provides information and support to agency staff in the solicitation process including in developing the scope of work and other documentation.  Attends pre-bid conferences and evaluates bid / proposals for responsiveness and responsibility of vendors making submissions.  Applies State Laws, Rules, and Commission Policy in the development and management of the solicitation process.  Prepares and maintains required solicitation documentation

 

Other:

  • Attends training and conferences, as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and special projects, as required.
  • Assists in the development of documentation, manuals, or procedures related to the Commission's procurement practices.
