The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks, is seeking a highly motivated individual with Human Resource skills, as well as administrative, team player skills, to join our dynamic team in Division Director’s Office as the Human Resource Liaison.

Pay:
$21.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, assist, and advise staff regarding the recruitment process and advertisement of vacant positions. Provide assistance to supervisors/managers with employment packages and onboarding of new employees.
- Assist with processing position description updates for DRP’s Bureaus and District Offices. Assist with the development and maintenance of an electronic file system for position descriptions.
- Coordinate with supervisors/managers to ensure all timesheets are submitted/approved timely.
- Assist with various Human Resource special projects.
- Respond to employment inquiries, as requested.
- Assist in maintaining a division employee roster.
- Performs related work, as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Department of Management Services Personnel Rules.
- Computer and related software.
- Principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
- Utilize problem solving techniques.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to administration and human resource program functions.
- Prepare reports.
- Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Collect, evaluate and analyze data.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Human Resource and/or administrative related experience.
- Professional human resource experience with an agency in the State of Florida’s State Personnel System.
- Experience writing formal business communications, including emails.
